New York-based singer-songwriter Romeo Santos received twelve nominations for the 2013 Billboard Latin Music Awards. He is nominated for Artist of the Year, Album of the Year and Albums Artist of the Year in the male category, as well as in other nine categories. He also received a Grammy nomination for Best Tropical Latin Album for Formula Vol. 1 at this year’s 55th Grammy Awards ceremony.

Romeo Santos has been in the music scene for almost 20 years now. His unique Latin style –a mixture of bachata, hip hop, merengue, reggaeton, and R&B- has gotten him the title of “King of Bachata.” Better known as the former lead singer of popular bachata group Aventura, Santos launched his solo career with his debut album Formula Vol. 1 in 2011. His first single “You” became number-one debut on the Hot Latin Songs and Tropical Songs chart, as well as his second single “Promise,” featuring hip-hop artist Usher. His Formula Vol. 1 concert experience The King Stays King: Sold Out at the Madison Square Garden is now available in CD, DVD, and Blu-Ray.

Santos will launch on his second U.S. tour of his Formula Vol. 1 Tour next month, with the following Texas dates:

Apr. 4 – AT&T Center- San Antonio, TX.

Apr. 5 – Verizon Theatre- Dallas, TX.

Apr. 6 – Toyota Center- Houston, TX.

Apr. 7 – State Farm Arena- Hidalgo, TX.

Apr. 9 – El Paso Coliseum- El Paso, TX.
