Puerto Rican Folkloric Dance and Cultural Center presents “Mami Boricua” in December

The Puerto Rican Folkloric Dance and Cultural Center Sembrando Herencias program brings Puerto Rican culture to life with their yearly productions. This years 10th annual production is “Mami Boricua”, a musical that pays tribute to the Puerto Rican women who contributed to union efforts to improve wages and working conditions for garment industry workers in New York City in the late 1950s. The play premieres Dec. 9 at 3 the Davis Auditorium at the Texas School For the Deaf.
