Los Amigos Invisibles announce April release of ‘Repeat After Me’

February 6, 2013 By Austin Vida Staff

New York-based Latin Grammy winners Los Amigos Invisibles announced the release of their new single “La Que Me Gusta,” from their upcoming new album Repeat After Me, out on Apr. 2 via Nacional Records. “La Que Me Gusta” is the first single from the new album and will be released on Feb. 12 along with an iTunes pre-order of Repeat After Me. And if that weren’t enough, the band also announced their 18-city US tour this spring to celebrate the release of the album.

Tropical funk band Los Amigos Invisibles joined the Venezuelan rock movement back in 1991 with the intention of giving people an alternate groove to jam to, different from anything else heard before. Two decades and eight full-length albums later, Los Amigos Invisibles have established themselves as one of the most entertaining acts from South America. They mix it all from samba and merengue, to acid jazz and everything in between. Their album Commercial earned them a Latin Grammy for Best Alternative Album in 2009, followed by a Grammy nomination of their follow up album Not So Commercial in 2011. They have performed at festivals all around the world, including Coachella, Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza here in the U.S., and Vive Latino in Mexico City.
