Barcelona-based Jarabe De Palo is one of the most popular exports to come from Spain. They had their beginnings in 1995 with “La Flaca,” the song that started it all and launched them into the international music scene. Fronted by Pau Donés, the band blends blues and rock with Latin rhythms. The ongos and congas can be heard throughout their music. After more than a decade of success, the band has left the major label they had been affiliated with since their debut album. Last year the band received their 13th Latin Grammy nomination for ¿Y Ahora Qué Hacemos?

On September 25, Jarabe De Palo released their album Orquestra Reciclando (Recycling Orchestra) in the U.S. for the first time. True to the album’s title, it’s not so much of a new album, but rather 15 new recordings of their past hit songs including “La Flaca.” The album also includes one new song, “Mucho Más, Mucho Mejor.” The band is currently out on tour in support of the album, but no Texas dates are on the schedule.

Watch the music video for “La Flaca” below.
