‘George Lopez: It’s Not Me, It’s You’ to be released this month via Comedy Central Records

September 21, 2012 By Austin Vida Staff

The song “Low Rider” can never just stand alone, and comedian George Lopez is to blame. The song and Lopez go hand in hand. Though he had a rough childhood, he drew from his experiences for his stand-up act that eventually led him to create his hit show George Lopez. The sitcom ran for six seasons on ABC and is still popular in syndication. Despite only running for two seasons, with his show, Lopez Tonight, he became the first Latino to host a late-night talk show on an English language network. During the summer, Lopez also hosted Fox’s dating series Take Me Out. Aside from the small screen, his voice can also be recognized on the film Beverly Hills Chihuahua and its sequel.

Lopez returned to HBO for a third time for a live solo stand-up comedy special in July at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. That night’s comedy show can be relived with Comedy Central Records’ CD audio recording release George Lopez: It’s Not Me, It’s You set to drop Sept. 25. Lopez’s previous comedy records include “America’s Mexican” and “Tall, Dark and Chicano,” both nominated for Grammy Awards.

You can preorder George Lopez: It’s Not Me, It’s You on Comedy Central’s website here or get it in stores starting Sept. 25.
