On Friday June 12, Cinco Doce will make their debut at Desperados in Kyle. The Austin favorites will be pretty much playing on their home turf in the south suburb, so expect lots of love from the crowd full of longtime fans, friends, and family at the new club that has hosted a pretty impressive lineup of Tejano and conjunto acts since opening at the beginning of the year.
Cinco Doce has made its mark in recent years with a trademark sound heavily influenced by Tejano and rock, as well as other rhythmic genres like bachata, reggaeton, and hip-hop. Their great stage show, unique sound, and hip, urban-inspired image, have gained them a loyal following, particularly among younger listeners.
Long story short: Cinco Doce never disappoints and dance floor space will be scarce. Look for a younger crowd without cowboy hats. The dudes love to jam, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see a few special guests hop on stage as well.
Desperados is located at 110 W. Center Street, just west of I-35 in Kyle. The doors open at 8 p.m. The cover charge is $5 before 9 p.m. and $7 after 9 p.m. 21+ are welcome. For more information, message Desperados on Facebook.
