Saturday night, February 23, Los A-T Boyz come to Texas Mist. The Austin powerhouse, driven by la familia Rodriguez, is always a favorite and they love playing for their dedicated hometown fans.
Los A-T Boyz is essentially a family band that began a couple of decades ago as Alma Tejana. Later adopting the A-T Boyz moniker, brothers Raphael (saxophone) and Paquito Rodriguez (accordion) masterfully work the stage along with their father Paco Rodriguez on bajo sexto and brother Fernando on drums and percussion. Rounding out the lineup are Raymond Garza (keys and accordion), Adam Garza (bass), Omar Acuna (congas), and Chris Rivera (harmony vocals). Their sound draws from almost every genre, allowing their creative spirit and radiant energy shine through during every performance and on every recording. Almost everyone sings, and they all love to perform.
Long story short: Always a great time with the spicy Tejano of the A-T Boyz. You also never know who will show up…
Texas Mist is located at 1115 Bastrop Highway, off the northbound side of Highway 183, just north of Hwy 71, in southeast Austin. The cover charge is $5 for ladies and $8 for guys before 9 p.m., and $10 after 9 p.m. for everyone. 21+ are welcome.
