On Saturday, January 26, Frankie Jr y Grupo Caballero make their first trip to the Texas Club Bar and Grill. Tejano music fans will get a chance to welcome the Donna, Texas-based group to the Live Music Capital of the World.
Described as having a “sound all his own,” Frankie is part of the next generation of Tejano performers. With a strong voice, Sinatra-style good looks, and a top-notch backing band, his star is definitely on the rise. His singles are enjoying significant airplay on terrestrial and internet radio stations around the country, including on Austin’s own Tejano station, KTXZ 1560 AM.
Long story short: Going to see this group will not only support Frankie and the guys. It will also send a message to promoters, clubs, and other groups that Austin fans will go see someone new and want more variety.
The Texas Club Bar and Grill is located on Burleson Road just south of Ben White Boulevard in southeast Austin. The show starts at 9 p.m., the cover charge is $6 all night, and 21+ are welcome. For more information call (512) 541-7621. Visit the Facebook event page here.
