Rather than letting himself be engulfed by a troubled family environment, Latin urban artist Artista Rosario looked to Héctor Lavoe, Frankie Ruiz, Marc Anthony, Jerry Rivera and Jay-Z for inspiration. As he moved from city to city, music and writing became his escape from his ever-changing surroundings. Now, the Puerto Rican storyteller has performed in numerous festivals and has shared the stage with Luis Fonsi and Baby Rasta y Gringo among others.
With just two songs, Rosario’s music has made its way into the Latin music scene in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. While on tour in the East Coast, the “Circulos” remix featuring reggaeton artist Yomo gained popularity in the clubs. His other song making headway is “Puedo Prometerte.” Since the music video premiered a few weeks ago, it has already received more than 314,000 views on YouTube. The single is just a taste of what’s to come from his debut album, Teatro de la Mente, due later this year. Until the release of the album, Rosario will continue touring in support of the album.
