LoCura is a bilingual Latin-roots band based out of San Francisco, California. Their music fuses together elements of Flamenco, ska, reggae and traditional Latin rhythms. Led by vocalist Katalina Miletich, LoCura is known in the bay area for being tuned into the immigrant culture and activist politics.
On April 17, LoCura will release their new album Semilla Caminante , inspired by “ida y vuelta,” the notion in flamenco of musical forms that have traveled to the New World and returned transformed. LoCura will tour California in support of Semilla Caminante shortly after the release, including two dates with one of our Austin Vida day party performers, Bang Data.
