Once Afrobeta starts playing, the only thing left to do is dance. Afrobeta began its journey in 2006 as Cuci Amador and Smurphio combined their talents to make people move to bilingual lyrics infused with funk-synthetic electronic beats. Based in Miami, the duo quickly gained a loyal fan base and recognition from the Miami New Times. After their appearance at the Latin Alternative Music Conference‘s Unsigned Artists Showcase, they were finally signed to Do IT and were able to spread their music across the world at the Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts and the Ultra Music Festival.
Although Afrobeta’s latest album, Under the Streets, includes the track “Play House,“ the song is now available on iTunes packaged with remixes from disc jockeys Junior Sanchez, Alexander Technique and Larry Tee. To accompany this, Afrobeta has released the song’s music video directed by Ruben Van Leer, which takes you into a surreal future world.
