Video interview: The Young Maths at Stubb’s

June 30, 2011 By Austin Vida Staff

Headlining the Red River Noise farewell showcase (our sister site) tonight will be The Young Maths from McAllen, Texas. The indie dance-rock quartet is one of the most energetic and dynamic live performers to come out of South Texas. No stranger to Austin, The Young Maths performed at Mohawk last fall and Stubb’s indoor in January during Free Week for our Austin Vida showcase.  At every show, they have the crowd on their feet and the girls dancing. Be ready to stay late as The Young Maths perform at midnight.

It was at our Free Week show that our editor-in-chief, Ian Morales, interviewed the band and we captured some awesome live footage of the band playing their song “Fingered on the Dance Floor” from their EP Thank You Goodnight We Are…

Watch the interview with The Young Maths below. We recommend watching in 720p.
