It is going to be a hot one this Saturday night in Austin. Two of the biggest Latino acts in Texas are coming together for the biggest concert post Pachanga Fest. Austin funk group Brownout! joins Houston rapper Chingo Bling at Mohawk for one night only. You read that right…Chingo Bling and Brownout! together on July 23.
Brownout! is the side project or funk companion to Grupo Fantasma. Many of the members in Brownout are in Grupo Fantasma, including guitarist and founding member Adrian Quesada. The eight piece group have two critically acclaimed albums and several festival performances under their belt. Find out on Saturday why people can’t get enough of Brownout!.
Chingo Bling is a popular underground rapper from Houston, Texas. Self-dubbed as the “ghetto vaquero” and the “Latino Russel Simmons,” Chingo Bling is an entity all to himself. The “Versace-mariachi” returns to Austin for the first time since his first Pachanga Fest performance. Be ready for dope beats, comedic rhymes and potential stage diving. If that happens, don’t let those ghetto fabulous boots or chain hit you.
Watch Chingo Bling live at Pachanga Fest 2011 below, presented by Blastro and Austin Vida.
