One of the best things about ACL Fest other than the festival itself is the plethora of official aftershows that are scheduled around downtown. Fans who can’t get enough of their favorite performing artist or fans who may not have been able to attend the festival have a chance to see some of the ACL performers in smaller, more intimate venues around Austin. Official aftershows begin on the Friday of ACL weekend and continue on until Sunday night.
This year the incredible Manu Chao was in Austin for this year’s ACL Fest. Although scheduled to perform Sunday at the festival, Chao performed a headlining aftershow at Stubb’s on September 16, 2011. Austin Vida photographer Kristie Bocanegra was in attendance to capture photos of the sold out show.
