Extreme death metal band Brujeria are the legendary side project founded by Dino Cazares, founding member of Fear Factory. In Brujeria, the members all go by aliases and usually cover their faces to conceal their identities. Despite the concealed indentities and member changes over the years, their popularity remains and their cult followers all over the world remain loyal.

Brujeria performed a headlining show at Emo’s East on Saturday, October 8. Pinhead opened the show. Austin Vida contributing photographer Chris Carrasquillo was on hand to capture the performance in these live photos below.

Chris Carrasquillo

Photographer - Chris Carrasquillo was born in the City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia, and has also lived in Puerto Rico and Corpus Christi. In Austin since ’94, he’s seen his fair share of shows, from the Courtney Love breakdown at Liberty Lunch to the first Rancid show in a car tint garage. He’s part-owner of Austin premier skate shop Find-N-Grind Skateshop, as well as Brown Skateboard Company, having produced skate videos. Photography is his new thing.
