Over the years, we’ve had the pleasure of watching Austin-based David Garza perform countless times. Through several band changes, name changes and major tweaks to perfect his Latin rock/pop style, Garza has grown into one of those artists we never tire from. His music has landed him in several festivals, such as the Pachanga! Latino Music Festival, an Austin Vida favorite, as well as on soundtracks like Alfonso Cuarón’s Great Expectations and touring with Fiona Apple.
This year, David Garza has been hand-picked to perform at Pearl Jam’s festival PJ20 in celebration of the 20th anniversary of their debut album, Ten. The festival will take place Sept. 3 and 4 at the Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy, Wisconsin. Garza will be sharing the spotlight with bands like The Strokes and Queens of the Stone Age.
Festival tickets go on sale May 23 for members of Pearl Jam’s Ten Club fan organization and June 4 for the general public. For more information on the festival, click here.
