The man behind the little piano tune on the iPad commercials is none other than Jason Beck. The Canadian rapper initially started out as a member in Son, a rock band from the 90s, but after it dismantled he moved to Berlin and adopted the alter ego of Chilly Gonzales. Aside from being a producer and an aspiring Latino, he was also an actor on “Ivory Tower.” The Grammy nominated musician also broke the world record for the longest solo concert in 2009 after playing for 27 hours, three minutes and 44 seconds.
After only a year since his last album, Gonzales combines the two opposing genres of rap and orchestra to ultimately culminate them into his latest creation: The Unspeakable Chilly Gonzales. The album will be released digitally on June 7 via Arts & Crafts. Gonzales counted with the help from his Hollywood composing brother, Christophe Beck, to do the arrangements on his album.
