If you have never been to a concert at Esquina Tango in East Austin, you are missing what feels one big house party. It is one of the few venues in town where you can “BYOB” and still see quality music such as San Antonio’s barrio big band Bombasta. Often compared to bands like Ozomatli and Antibalas (the Latino version?), Bombasta is one of San Antonio’s premiere Latin bands. No stranger to Austin, Bombasta has performed at two Pachanga Festivals, countless shows at Flamingo Cantina and even an Austin Vida showcase at Ruta Maya. Even if you are rhythmically challenged, you have no excuse not to head out to Esquina Tango as cumbia lessons are being offered before the show at 9:00pm. More details on the poster above.
