Atomic Pink played their first Austin show ever last night, at the Red River venue Headhunters. You might remember that this sister trio from El Paso was supposed to play our chicks-who-rock showcase last spring, but health issues forced the band to cancel. Lucky for us, Atomic Pink is back at it and at full-strength (well, almost… lead singer Samantha Adame was battling a cold). They rocked a brief set, transitioning from pop-punk to metal breakdowns, even throwing in a Metallica cover. You can catch Atomic Pink again tonight at The Parlor on North Loop. They’ll be in San Antonio and San Marcos next week.
