Thursday, April 1, at Ruta Maya was our second official showcase to feature Maneja Beto, El Tule and Este Vato. This time we added La Guerrilla to make the show even hotter than before. It appears as if Latin music fans in Austin agreed, as the turn out made Thursday night feel like a Saturday night. Ruta Maya was the place to be.
El Tule warmed everyone up early and Este Vato set the stage for La Guerrilla, who used the showcase to release their new self-titled, debut CD. They were quite the crowd pleasers and had the crowd ready to dance for headliners Maneja Beto. As always, Maneja Beto’s danceable indie en Español kept attendees partying into the late night hours.
