One of the best new discoveries at South By Southwest in 2008 was Spanish hip-hop artist Mala Rodríguez. Based out of Andalucia, Rodríguez often gets tagged as a “hip-hop Nelly Furtado.” Her breakthrough hit “NaNai” was a bouncy, beat-heavy gypsy-hop track that put her on the map here in the U.S. She’s been a Latino tastemaker favorite ever since.
Last week, Mala released her new music video for her single “Un Corazón” from her new Dirty Bailarina album. With less of a beat heavy bounce and more of soultry flavor, “Un Corazón” should have the Latino blogosphere and music media buzzin’ once again. Check it out here:
