Latinitas wants to recognize teens and girls that contribute to their communities with their first annual 20 Under 20 Award.
After a report by the National Coalition of Hispanic Health and Human Services Organization cited pregnancy, depression, substance abuse and school delinquency as the four main threats to education and health, Latinitas wants to highlight those who are an exception to the statistics with a front-page feature in the Latinitas online magazine’s redesign in September.
The organization will be accepting nominations until Aug. 15. Nominees must be between the ages of 10-19 by the deadline and must live in the U.S. and/or U.S. territories. To nominate someone or yourself, complete the following questions here by Aug.15.
Latinitas is a non-profit organization that empowers young Latinas through media and technology as well as through school enrichment programs and summer camps to encourage girls to become successful in the future.
