Latinitas hosts first holiday media winter camp

Instead of wasting time at home during the winter break, girls can attend Latinitas first winter session camp and prepare for the holidays.

During the camp, Latinitas will help girls make all sorts of holiday creations using digital media. For two days, girls can blog, do video and audio production, web design, photography, desktop publishing to create things like a Christmas TV special and12 tweets of Christmas among other things. The camp will be held from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Dec. 29-30 at 1107 S. Eighth St. Cost is $40 and scholarships are available by calling (512) 447-4440 x 137 or emailing [email protected].

Latinitas is a non-profit organization that encourages and empowers young Latinas to achieve success through digital media. As the first digital magazine made for and young Latinas, the organization has served more than 20,000 girls through its digital education programs.
