Sunday gets a bad reputation: “Lazy Sunday,” “Easy like Sunday morning,” a day of rest. Forget that. This Sunday at 7 p.m., Chepo Peña’s opening exhibit Space Loteriera will be on display at Thunderbird Coffee on Manor Road.

Peña is an Austin-based artist and musician, and the 50 Star Wars-themed Loteria Cards in the exhibit are part of a series two years in the making. The prints aren’t approved by Lucasfilm but that’s not going to stop what looks to be a Space-meets-Mexico bash. In addition to the $2 Mexican beers served, The Dead Motley Sex Maidens offer up Karaoke Apocalypse.
