It’s not a chupacabra! Or is it?

hood co chupacabraIt’s open season on chupacabras in Texas. Two strange creatures have been killed this month in Hood County (an hour west of Dallas). Animal control officials aren’t sure what these mangy-dog-like beasts are, so the local media took advantage of a slow news day to stir up buzz about the mythical terrorizer of livestock.

This isn’t even Texas’ first supposed sighting of 2010. A dead chupacabra discovered in Wise County in January turned out to be a hairless raccoon.
