It’s open season on chupacabras in Texas. Two strange creatures have been killed this month in Hood County (an hour west of Dallas). Animal control officials aren’t sure what these mangy-dog-like beasts are, so the local media took advantage of a slow news day to stir up buzz about the mythical terrorizer of livestock.
This isn’t even Texas’ first supposed sighting of 2010. A dead chupacabra discovered in Wise County in January turned out to be a hairless raccoon.
