Fox News to launch Latino website… wait, what?

May 21, 2010 By Austin Vida Staff

fox news logoThe conservative news outlet Fox News plans to launch a Latino-themed website in the fall, Reuters is reporting.

The website will be called FoxNewsLatino.com and will include breaking news as well as political and economic coverage as it relates to Latino communities in the U.S.

Hmmm….

You mean the same Fox News that lets Glenn Beck make condescending, ethnically charged remarks about the first Latina nominated to the Supreme Court?

You mean the same Fox News where anchor John Gibson responded to a story about growing Latino populations in the U.S. by saying white people need to “make more babies”?

The same Fox News where Bill O’Reilly claims The New York Times wants illegal immigrants to enter the U.S. so they can destroy the “white power structure” (never mind that the Times is owned and operated by that structure)?

And, last but not least, the same Fox News that airs a morning news show with hosts like Brian Kilmeade who refer to interracial relationships as “marrying other species and other ethnics”?

Excuse our hyperbole, but Fox News rolling out a Latino website is kinda like if the KKK founded BET.
