Mexico’s most prestigious folkloric dance group, Ballet Folklórico de México de Amalia Hernandez, toured through Texas last month and performed in Austin on Jan. 19.
The Long Center hosted the famous folklórico’s celebration of life, culture, pre-hispanic rituals and dramatic events from Mexico’s rich history. If you did not see them live, you missed ballet folklórico at its absolute best. Austin High Ballet Folklórico kicked off the festivities, performing outside in front of the Long Center.
