On Wednesday, July 7, Austinites will have two opportunities to see Alejandro Escovedo for free. It would be wise to make plans and take advantage, as Escovedo will be leaving to go on tour next week. He will be touring to support his new release, Street Songs of Love.
First, Escovedo will perform at Waterloo Records for an afternoon in-store appearance at noon. Priority wrist bands will be given to those who purchase Street Songs from Waterloo as a large crowd is expected. You can purchase the album from Waterloo Records online HERE in the event you cannot make it to the in-store. Early arrival is suggested.
For those of you who cannot get away from work or class to catch the in-store, be sure to attend the annual summer concert series, Blues On The Green, at Zilker Park. Escovedo is the featured performer and the concert is free to all. Bring your lawn chairs and the kids. For more details on what you can and cannot bring, location and other info, visit the FAQ on the official website HERE. Be there by 7:30 p.m. to catch the show. You don’t want to miss out on one of Austin’s greatest rock icons live in concert for FREE.
