This week Chico Mann released a new music video/short film. Produced by HJ Films, the Say What music video short film offers a funky, ’70s throwback feel with funky beats and some dope B-boys. We asked Chico Mann a little about the video and here is what he had to say:
Tell us about the inspiration for the video.
Chico Mann: It was inspired by Hasan McClendon in collaboration with me, Jeremy Archer, and Taylor Mills.
What are some of the specific tracks featured?
Chico Mann: Say What, Harmonia, Sound is Everything, Go & See, The Selector.
Where was the video shot?
Chico Mann: It was shot on location in Jersey City. (Nothing was shot in NYC)
Can you give us any info on part two yet?
Chico Mann: Part two is about the track that features Ayesha Ngaujah. I am looking to release it on the next album, titled Trickster for Kids.
