Pachanga Latino Music Festival is a Latin-themed music, cultural arts and food festival dedicated to showcasing the vibrant blend of Latino-created music and art and its impact it has on American culture today. The festival will be held on Saturday, May 10 at Fiesta Gardens in Austin. This year’s roster includes headliner and five-time Latin Grammy Award-winning Latin rock superstar Julieta Venegas, Mexican rock-fusion band El Gran Silencio, 2014 Grammy Award-winning Latin-alternative quartet La Santa Cecilia and more.
The best part? We are giving away to V.I.P., or should we say “V.I.T.” tickets, to one of our lucky Austin Vida readers. V.I.T. stands for “Very Important Taco.” The Very Important Taco VIP pass will provides exclusive access to a hospitality area, from 2 p.m. – 10 p.m., and special taco tasting, from 3:30 p.m. – 8 p.m., showcasing ten restaurants that will each offer a selection of signature tacos. The taco tasting will be split into two intervals featuring five tasting stations. V.I.T. pass holders will be able to enjoy a complimentary taco from each purveyor and cast a vote for the ultimate official Pachanga Taco.
Participating vendors include:
3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. : Dos Batos, Casa Chapala, One Taco, Tacodeli, and El Taquito Sabor Mexico.
6 p.m. – 8 p.m. : Maria’s Taco Xpress, La Fogata,El Primo, Mellizoz, and Mighty Bird.
In addition to the taco tasting, V.I.T. ticket holders will have access to a salsa bar from El Taquito and Casa Chapala, paletas from Mom & Pops, and complimentary non-alcoholic drinks including aguas frescas from El Taquito. The V.I.T. pass also offers a host of amenities that include indoor restrooms, an air-conditioned lounge, and private patio area.

Fiesta Gardens is located in the Central district at 2100 Jesse E. Segovia Street in Austin. Doors open at noon. All ages are welcome. Advance tickets can be purchased online for this event here.
