Interview: Maneja Beto from Austin Vida on Vimeo.

Maneja Beto iconManeja Beto took a year-long hiatus in 2008. Now the self-described indie-en-Español quintet is back. After playing practice shows this summer, Maneja Beto plays its official return show tonight on Mohawk's outdoor stage. Austin Vida talked with the band about the hiatus, the history of the band and the origin of the name Maneja Beto. Also, hear the story behind the intriguing phrase, "Beto's dead. We don't want to talk about it." In addition to talented musicians, the guys in Maneja are also fierce practical jokers.
