With the recent release of his third album, Siddhartha proves once again to be one of the most promising indie artists in Mexico. Siddhartha presents the second single “Bacalar,” off El Vuelo del Pez, released in January. The song has had positive feedback from followers and has become one of the most popular songs on tour with having the most fans singing right along. The song is inspired by the beautiful Bacalar lagoon at Chetumal, Quintana Roo. The 11-track album features Jesús Báez (Zoé), Yamil Rezc and Caloncho.

The music classes Siddhartha took at a young age only peeked his interest in music, but it was a drum set he received for his birthday that paved the way for his career. After collaborating with Azul Violeta, Sara Valenzuela, Joli, Sweet Electra, and most notably known as the drummer for alternative band Zoé, Siddhartha finally launched his own project. His debut album, Why You?, received a Latin Grammy nomination and was followed by Naufrago.
