SqueezeboxTonight Threadgills World Headquarters hosts Squeezebox Mania. Now in its eighth year, the annual showcase, presented by Texas music power couple Joel Guzman and Sarah Fox, definitely lives up to its name, bringing fans an evening with legendary accordionists from various genres and usually an all-star accordion jam session.

Scheduled to perform are Cajun power house Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys, the eclectic Ponty Bone and the Squeezetones, and the multi-talented and award-winning Joel Guzman and Sarah Fox with Los Aztex.

As if that weren’t enough, there’s also a bonus. Earlier in the day, Steve Riley and Joel Guzman will be hosting an accordion workshop from Noon to 2 p.m. at Mexitas Mexican Food, on the southeast corner of 12th Street and I-35 near downtown. Cover is $25. The Facebook event is here.

Long story short: With everything from Cajun to polka to conjunto and all points in between, accordion lovers will be in heaven.
