Madame Récamier releases new digital single “Luz Verde”

Mexico City-based singer-songwriter Madame Récamier recently released her new digital single “Luz Verde” (Green Light) from her upcoming second full-length album ImaGina. “Luz Verde” is the follow up song to “Quiero” and features Mexican rock band Enjambre’s vocalist Luis Humberto Navejas.  ImaGina was produced by popular Monterrey, Mexico-based rock musician Chetes. The album takes all good and bad experiences in Récamier’s life in the past year, as well as some childhood memories and reflections on her life as a young musician. ImaGina will be out on Feb. 5 through Dragora Records and Cosmica Records.

Madame Récamier, whose real name is Gina Récamier, is one of the indie-pop artists representing the new young movement in Mexican indie music scene. After moving to Mexico City, Récamier was hired as a backup singer and guitarist for Mexican pop star Aleks Syntek. Since then Récamier has managed to put her name out there as a soloist and performed at Vive Latino and Corona Capital festivals in Mexico City, as well as at South By Southwest in 2010.
