El Vez to perform in Austin for Long Center summer concert series

El Vez, the stage name of Robert Lopez, is better known as the “Mexican Elvis.” El Vez will be bringing his uniquely classic rock n’roll aesthetic to back Austin on Sunday, Sept. 1, at The Long Center for the Labor Day concert extravaganza, So Long Summer.

The Chicano music icon has been performing all over since the late 1980s. El Vez blends the style of Elvis Presley and other classically renowned musicians with Latin American inspired styles. El Vez is  known for satirical,  yet revolutionary rock n’ roll music.

El Vez will be performing in Austin for Labor Day weekend at The Longcenter’s So Long Summer concert event. The event begins on Aug. 30 and ends on Sept. 1. Five eclectic bands will be showcasing their music. Tickets for the show are $20 per night. The three-day Labor Day event will be held at The Long Center located at 701 W. Riverside Drive.
