Latin Grammy-winning band Bajofondo announces release date of their new album Presente, out on March 5 through Sony Masterworks. Presente will feature twenty-one new tracks with a more low-key, string-based groove, much different from all of their previous energetic hits. New songs include “Pide Piso,” “Codigo de Barra,” ”Olvidate,” and “Lluvia,” among others.

Founded by multi-award-winner Gustavo Santaolla, the eight-member Argentinian-Uruguayian band Bajofondo is known for their electronic tango fusion sound, mixing styles from tango to electronica and everything in between. In 2003, their debut album Bajofondo Tango Club got them a Latin Grammy for Best Pop Instrumental Album.

Since then, Bajofondo has performed on stages all over the world, including Brazil, Portugal, Singapore and the U.S. The group has performed next to stars like Elvis Costello, Julieta Venegas, and Nelly Furtado, among others.
