Austin Ticket Giveaway: Marcos Orozco at Moose Lodge

Multi-talented singer, songwriter, producer, arranger and musician Marcos Orozco began his career in the 1980s with groups Blackjack, Powerhouse, and the legendary Fabulosos 4, but it was his time as the lead singer for David Lee Garza y Los Musicales that propelled him to Tejano music super stardom. His unmistakable romantic voice is on the megahits ”Tonta,” “Una Noche Mas,” “Tu Boca Roja,” and more, which are still on heavy rotation at Tejano music stations and on DJ playlists everywhere. After his time with the Musicales, Marcos embarked on a successful solo career with his own group, Rebelde. To date, the group has released eight albums including four on his own independent label, Oromar Records.

On Saturday, August 10, Marcos Orozco will be performing a headlining concert in Austin at Moose Lodge 1735. The best part? We have two pairs of tickets to giveaway to a couple of our lucky Austin Vida readers.

The giveaway will be conducted as a raffle from our email list. Just click “enter the drawing” below and submit your full name and email address. We will pick the winner from these submissions before 3 p.m. on Friday, the day before the show. Only submissions with both first and last names will be officially entered in the drawing. The winner will be notified via email from Austin Vida. Good luck!

The Moose Lodge is located at 2103 E.M. Franklin Avenue, north of MLK and east of Airport Boulevard in East Austin. Tickets will be available at the door for $12. Tickets are $10 presale and are available at Estrada’s Cleaners, Turntable Records and online here.

Marcos’ voice somehow manages to soothe the soul, even while out on the dance floor. I’m really looking forward to hearing him perform live once again, after so many years.
