Miami-based Latin Alternative band Bachaco fuses reggae, dancehall and cumbia with elements of ska and hip-hop into a multicultural music explosion. Founded in 2007 by brothers Edilberto and Jose Morillo, the band has members from Jamaica, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Colombia and Peru that have spread their contagious rhythms all the way from Argentina to Canada. The Miami-based band has performed live more than 300 times and has showcased at South by Southwest, Latin Music Miami Beach Half Marathon and the Latin Alternative Music Conference.
On Thursday, Aug. 1, Bachaco will be performing a headlining concert at Flamingo Cantina. Opening for the group will be Austin-based salsa-fusion band La Vida Buena. The best part? We have a pair of tickets to giveaway to one of our lucky Austin Vida readers.
