[4/6] Preview: Frankie Jr y Group Caballero at Texas Club Bar and Grill

On Saturday, April 6, Frankie Jr y Grupo Caballero return to the Texas Club Bar and Grill. Ever since making their Austin debut back in January, the group from Donna, Texas, couldn’t wait to come back to the Live Music Capital of the World.

Described as having a “sound all his own,” Frankie is part of the next generation of Tejano performers. With a strong voice, young Sinatra-style good looks, and a top-notch backing band, his star is definitely on the rise. His singles are enjoying significant airplay on terrestrial and internet radio stations around the country, including on Austin’s own Tejano station, KTXZ 1560 AM.

Long story short: A fresh face with a classic Tejano sound, with some especially good rancheras with accordion and synthesizer.

The Texas Club Bar and Grill is located on Burleson Road just south of Ben White Boulevard in southeast Austin. The show starts at 9 p.m., the cover charge is $8 all night for individuals, couples pay $13 before 9 p.m. 21+ are welcome. For more information call (512) 541-7621.
