[4/28] Preview: Ram Jam at Texas Club Bar and Grill

On Sunday, April 28, the Austin community is invited to the Texas Club Bar and Grill for Ram Jam, an event to benefit funds for the Johnston High School Vietnam Veterans Memorial Ceremony. Scheduled performers include alumni from the Austin Tejano Music Coalition Tejano Idol competition, as well as an eclectic mix of Tejano groups.

Scheduled to perform are Austin’s own Angel y Grupo Vimana, known for their cutting-edge original music, along with the high-energy and eclectic latin-flavored sounds of Son de Rey. Also on the bill are San Antonio’s Marisa Cortez and 2012 Tejano Idol winner Anani Rhames and runner-up Devin Banda.

Proceeds from the show will help fund the ground-breaking ceremony for the Johnston High School Veterans Memorial, constructed in honor of Johnston High School students who died while serving in the military during the Vietnam War.

The Texas Club Bar and Grill is located on Burleson Road just south of Ben White Boulevard in southeast Austin. Doors open at 6 p.m., admission is free until 7:30 p.m, and donations are accepted after 7:30 p.m.  21+ are welcome. For more information call (512) 541-7621. View the Facebook event here.
