Coined by the BBC as BBC as โ€œthe Galician bagpipe diva,โ€ Cristina Pato is renowned for her dramatic live performances. Her brand of Gaita (bagpipe music) fuses together elements of Sephardic, Latin, jazz, pop, and contemporary music to create a sound and vision that is energetic, flamboyant, and virtuosic. Pato has collaborated with some of the biggest names in world, jazz, classical, and experimental music, including The Chicago Symphony, Yo-Yo Ma, The Chieftains, and the Royal Pipe Band.
