[8/17] Preview: Pop Pistol at Scholz Garten

Pop Pistol is arguably the most popular indie band in San Antonio not named Girl In A Coma. The Texas Is Funny Records artist recently released their debut album Angelus on vinyl and are currently finalizing details for a new album to be released soon. In March the group earned the San Antonio Current award this past March for “Best Indie Rock Band” and even graced the cover of the popular alt-weekly. Pop Pistol is composed of Alex Scheel (guitar/vocals), Jorge Gonzalez (drums) and George Garza (bass).

The atmospheric-indie trio will be performing a free headlining show in Austin on Friday, August 17, at Scholz Garten. Scholz Garten is located at 1607 San Jacinto. Admission is free. Music starts at 10 p.m. 21+ are welcome. Parking can be found in the state parking garages after 6 p.m. State parking garages can be found next to, behind and across from Scholz Garten. Visit the event post on Do512 here.
