[12/8] Preview: Conjunto Toy Drive at San Marcos VFW

On Saturday, December 8, Slick Entertainment presents its 4th Annual Toy Drive and Dance at the San Marcos VFW Post 3413. The event will benefit the Brown Santa and Blue Santa organizations and will feature performances from several different Conjuntos.

Conjunto lovers will enjoy the variety in the lineup, offering everything from a flamboyant stage show to styles reminiscent of Ruben Naranjo and Los Garcia Brothers: Da Krazy Pimpz, El Gambler Joe Gonzales, Conjunto Romo, and Animo. DJ’s Doh-Boi and Cowboy Loco will also keep the crowd on their feet in between acts.

Long story short: Conjunto fans can do some good and throw some chanclasos at the same time.

The VFW Post 3413 is located at 1701 Hunter Road, west of I-35 and north of RM 12 in San Marcos. The show begins at 7 p.m., and the cover charge is either $8 or one toy per person. All ages are welcome. View the Facebook event here.
