[12/1] Preview: Cinco Doce at Primo’s Round Rock

On Saturday, Dec. 1, Primo’s Round Rock welcomes cumbia masters Cinco Doce back to the stage. The group has made its mark in recent years with a trademark sound that not only draws heavily from Tejano and rock, but also from other rhythmic genres like bachata, reggaeton, and hip hop.

As with any up and coming group, success seems like it’s a million years away, and hard work is a must. Cinco Doce has worked very hard to put together a great stage show, a unique sound, and a hip, urban-inspired image, which has gained them a loyal following, particularly among younger listeners. Recently, the group was featured on MTV Tr3s, winning “El Headliner” for September 2012.

Primo’s Round Rock (not to be confused with Los Primo’s Nightclub) is located at 1826 North Mays Street in Round Rock. Show begins at 8 p.m., fans are encouraged to come early and meet the band. $5 cover, 21+ welcome. View the Facebook event here.
