[11/3] Preview: La Frenetika at El Taquito Round Rock

Every Friday and Saturday in Round Rock El Taquito Restaurant is where Latinos go to hang out, eat, drink and live Latin music for free. Many popular Austin-based bands like Vitera, Kalua, Foco Rojo and more have played the suburban taqueria. In fact, it has been pretty crowded every time I’ve been. Tonight will be no different I’m sure as Austin’s biggest cumbia-fusion band La Frenetika take the stage.

La Frenetika is group of friends and musicians who came together to create an Austin-based band that performed Vallenato and Colombian style cumbia. The band also features current Kalua bass player Andres Acevedo and former Kalua member Andres Junca. Performing original and cover songs, La Frenetika is the quintessential live band for Latin music lovers from all walks of life.

El Taquito is located at 130 Louis Henna Blvd. All ages are welcome. Free parking. Music starts at 10 p.m. No cover. Visit the event on Facebook here.
