Watch: Sour Soul video interview

This time last year, we were combing through the Do512 listings, as we like to do, looking for Latino music and events we may have missed. We saw a Beauty Bar listing mentioning a band from Mexico City, and that’s how we discovered Sour Soul. We went to the show that night and little did we know this band from the D.F. would turn out to be psychedelic pop-rockers who croon in English. We promptly interviewed the band, which you can read here. And we later booked the band for our Free Week 2011 showcase.

Sour Soul made a lot of people dance and groove at our Stubb’s showcase, and we were so impressed that we’ve decided to bring them back for our next showcase in October. We will bring you those details soon. In the meantime, enjoy an interview and concert footage of the band. The following video features our own Angela Maldonado interviewing the band, mixed with concert footage shot by Miguel Angel of ulovei.com, as well as by me. I also edited the video. Enjoy.
