Cirque de L’amour arrives with The Quixotic Tipper Experience

Cirque de L’amour will have two shows on Feb. 23 at Austin Music Hall. The first show will feature Quixotic while the second show will be The Tipper Quixotic Experience which will  feature Tipper, Quixotic and an opening performance by VibeSquaD.

Cirque group Quixotic is an ensemble of artists from Kansas City that have various disciplines ranging from dance to film and aerial acrobatics to fashion among other things. They mix violin-based pop, ballet, modern dance, aerial aerobatic, and lights to put on their show. They have been featured on TED as well as other worldwide recognized festivals such as Wakarusa. Doors for the show open at 4:30 p.m. with the show starting at 5 p.m. and is standing room only. The show is for all ages. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $30.

The Tipper Quixotic Experience will be opened by beatmaker VibeSquaD and will include British composer and producer Dave Tipper and Quixotic taking the main stage together for a Valentine’s masquerade party. Tipper specializes in electronic music ranging from ambient through trip-hop as well as Nuskool Breakbeat. His live performances consist largely of his own unreleased compositions. He is admired for his turntable skills and putting different sounds over his own music. The show is 18 and over and standing room only. Doors open at 8:30 p.m. The show begins at 9 p.m. and has a curfew at 2 a.m. Advance tickets can be purchased for $40.
