Carl’s Jr. honors founders by offering $60,000 in scholarships

Carl’s Jr.® announces the commencement of its 14th annual Carl N. and Margaret Karcher Founders’ Scholarship program. The scholarship application is now available at www.carlsjr.com/scholarship. Deadline to submit is Feb. 1.

The scholarship program was established by the company founders Carl N. and Margaret Kratcher, to reward hardworking youth. Since the inception of the program in 1999, Carl’s Jr. has granted $570,000, with this year’s scholarships pushing the total to $630,000.

This year, 60 students will receive $1,000 each through the scholarship program to attend the two- or four-year college or institution of their choice. Students will be selected base on academic record, school and community leadership and participation, work experience and future goals. Financial aid and other family circumstances will also be considered to chose the scholarship winners.

Applicants must also be residents of the states in which Carl’s Jr. operates restaurants.
